Van Andel Institute
As one of the leaders of the effort to transform West Michigan into a life sciences corridor, the Van Andel Institute faces a huge challenge as they try to represent the full scope of their research, education, and philanthropic efforts online. They came to Fusionary with a site that was difficult to navigate and no longer represented the vision and identity of their organization.
We worked through a formal process to define their primary audiences and objectives, interviewing over 30 stakeholders throughout every level of the organization. The objective was to explore and define how best to architect the site to represent their mission and plan for future growth and expansion.
Once we had the strategic direction and architecture approved, Fusionary prepared a creative direction for the site, establishing a new identity for the Institute online. Based on this work, our team completed standards-compliant page templates and stylesheets for their internal IT team to incorporate into their existing third-party content management system.
The results are a clean, contemporary site design supported by an architecture that can keep pace with the growth and evolution of the organization for years to come.
